Our Story

Crafting Stories Through Ink

I’m a now 40 year old queer poet and visual artist, a masculine presenting non-binary neurodivergent autodidactic anachronistic anarchist. I am fascinated by too many things to list but my favorite thing in the world is listening to someone talk about something they are truly passionate about. Please feel free to info dump about your special interests. I am amazed by the vastness of the human experience and how varied we all are. I love to learn about my clients.
My favorite things in life include but are not limited to my cats, my permaculture foodforest garden, the smell of dust and old books, laughing until my cheeks feel like their going to burst, trying anything new, always filling the silence with music, cursive handwriting, intense and deep conversations, and using my hands to create art, and/or to fix broken things to find value in the smallest of artifacts that others may miss.
I see tattooing as living art, and as such, it’s almost always best for it to be a collaboration between myself and the client. You are becoming art, and my favorite part is to use my skills and abilities to bring your ideas to life. Through abstraction and presence I love to blend graphic representation and free-hand freedom and allow them to flow together to create entirely unique pieces that perfectly fit your body. Placement and shilouette above all else. I create flash images to demonstrate my design sensibilities and to hopefully spark up an idea in your head that we can transform into reality.I do have a fine arts degree in painting and drawing from UNT. I do not like to limit myself to any single medium but tattooing has infinite potential because it is truly a living art-form.
I strive to cultivate a sense of calm and safety. My exterior appearance may be menacing but that is simply a built in defense mechanism to protect my squishy and tender little heart. I have sensory issues I dislike fluorescent lighting, the sounds of people eating, and intolerance and bigotry of any kind. I do not accept the authority of anyone who wants to control the lives of other humans. I see all people as unique autonomous beings deserving of respect and dignity. Love is love. Consent is essential. I know I do not like being touched by strangers and I extend that respect of space to all my clients. We are forming a bond during the tattoo process that lasts the rest of our lives. That is not something I take lightly, and while that is gravely serious. We must leave room for levity and silliness. We are meant to enjoy this one experience of having a body and riding in it as we cling to this tiny beautiful rock hurtling through the cold void of infinity. We might as well dance and sing in order to spite entropy.
I am just a person who loves people, an artist, and no one to be afraid of or intimidated by. I tend to form meaningful friendships with my clients and I always look forward to seeing them again even if just to talk about linguistics, or Brazilian JiuJitsu, or the microbiome of cave systems, or how this beautiful little town has changed over the last 20 years that I have lived here. I love my community and all of my clients. I hope that I have earned your trust and business. I would love to work with you. There is no reason to be intimidated in any way, I always answer questions and make myself available to my clientele in perpetuity. I have had clients with my work walking around for more than a decade now. I have left marks on them and they, in-turn, have left their mark on me.
